What is a more sure fire way to radiate 70’s vibes than this super effortless batik-inspired raglan top with flared cropped sleeves? this choice of fabric and design exudes a vintage vibe with a cultural touch. A sucker for raglan tops, I decided to draft a tailored raglan top and shape the original sleeves into flared sleeves. I chose two different coordinating batik fabrics; both have the same background but different foreground prints in different size and color. For the high waisted pencil skirt, I decided to keep it simple in terms of silhouette and detailing in order to keep the flared sleeves striking. Style tip: pair the outfit with chic sandals or flats and wear a bronze or wooden bracelet to complete the look. You can switch up the pencil skirt with distressed jeans to look effortlessly hip.
Did you know that according to Bustle, historically speaking, if you were a princess in the medieval period, your sleeves had to be bigger and better and more bell-like. Even though flared or bell sleeve has been around for much longer than a decade, the sleeve was trendy in early 2000s.
